    Awaiting your purchase is a pair of well loved Middle Eastern filigree silver tongs . These tongs are unmarked but test as silver. The owner could not bear to scrap them and had them repaired many times -once to one arm, and then to the elbow. Presumably the two plates that are in the center were put there during manufacture for support, however there is a plate to the right and it is clearly to mend a weak point. They are very decorative and can be used. They are, however, not strong. Exotic and a beautiful display piece of very fine workmanship!
