Whimsical Sterling Silver Wishbone Tongs by Lebkuecher c1900
Presented is this wonderful pair of sterling silver wishbone sugar tongs, made in America by Lebkuecher & Co. of Newark, NJ, c1900.
These tongs have been elegantly crafted in the shape of a wishbone from a chicken or turkey. The two halves are spring loaded and joined together as tongs, and can be used to pick up small servings of food such as sugar cubes, olives, cheese or other hors d'oeuvres.
The inside of one of the tongs is stamped with the Lebkuecher & Company's hallmark,
and a item number, 21.

These tongs are in very good condition with very little surface wear. The spring fulcrum are both solid and operate smoothly.
There are no dents, no dings or problems of any kind.
These wishbone tongs will be a delight at your next party!
