English Silver HESTER BATEMAN Sterling Sugar Basket with Liner c1784

Description

An English sterling silver sugar basket with swing handle and blue glass liner by Hester Bateman.  The sugar basket is pierced with bright cut engraved decoration.  There is beading along the top and bottom edges. 5 1/8"; diameter at the top 4". Weight 6.20 troy oz.  Good condition, never monogrammed, marks are worn. Liner in good condition with no chips or cracks. Marked London 1784.
